Accessibility and setup
TalkingTime uses English speech and can announce the time while you are using other apps or the screen is locked, after the schedule has been prepared and notification sounds are allowed.
Using VoiceOver
In the Easy schedule, focus an announcement time and use the Actions rotor. Available actions include selecting or deselecting a time, filling or clearing a block, and adding or editing a message. Message actions are available on enabled times and with Pro or Legacy Pro editing access.
To add a message, focus an enabled time. Rotate two fingers on the screen like a dial until VoiceOver says “Actions.” Swipe up or down to “Add message” or “Edit message,” then double-tap. Enter your text and activate Save.
The main screen labels Master Enable and the selected schedule. Turning Master Enable off stops time announcements. For troubleshooting, choose It’s not working, then Get support.
Appearance and text
The app uses light and dark appearances, but some instructional illustrations remain light. Some screens use text sizes based on the screen width rather than the system text-size setting. Larger text is therefore not consistently supported throughout the app.
Sound and reminders
Use a spoken time or a chime. The audible examples on this website have written transcripts or descriptions and do not play automatically. In the app, the current media volume is different from the ringer volume used for notification sounds. Focus, silent mode and audio routing can affect what you hear.
Get help
