FAQ & Support

Solitaire includes Klondike, Yukon, FreeCell, Spider, Pyramid, Canfield and TriPeaks. All seven games can be played free, with no ads.

The optional Pro upgrade adds features and settings. You do not need Pro to remove advertising: ad-free play is already included.

From a game table, tap Pause (the two vertical bars) to return to the chooser. Choose the game's name, then use New game or Resume when available.

At the table, open Settings → Game help for its controls, or Game description for the rules. The seven short guides below explain the main differences.

Tap Pause to return to the chooser while keeping the current game. Select that variation and tap Resume or its saved-game picture to continue. Each variation has its own saved game on this device.

Quit (X) offers restart or next-game choices and can count an unfinished game as a loss. Use Pause when you want to return later, and Resume when you want the saved deal rather than a new one. Read any confirmation before replacing a game.

Yes. Games already on the device can be played offline. Klondike's curated deal library downloads additional deals when connected; built-in and previously downloaded deals provide a finite offline supply.

If a particular Klondike selection has no available deals, connect and try again. Random Klondike deals are shuffled on the device but have different guarantees and Hint support. Buying or restoring Pro and sending feedback require the relevant online service.

Build the four Foundations up in suit from Ace to King. Build Tableau columns down in alternating colors; a King, or a King-led group, can fill an empty column. Move exposed cards from the Waste or Tableau, and turn the Stock when you need more cards.

The free ruleset is Turn-1 / No limit. Pro adds other supported draw/pass combinations and optional rules. Check Settings → Ruleset before comparing deals or scoring.

Yukon has seven Tableau columns and no Stock or Waste. Build down in alternating colors and move cards to the Foundations from Ace through King in suit.

You may move a face-up card with all the cards below it, even when that group is not in sequence. The leading card must fit the destination. Only a King-led group fills an empty column. This freedom to move mixed groups is a key difference from Klondike.

All 52 cards start face up. Build Tableau columns down in alternating colors and build the Foundations up in suit from Ace to King. Use the four Free Cells as temporary spaces.

Empty Free Cells and empty Tableau columns affect how large a correctly ordered group can be moved. Freeing space is often more useful than moving a card to the first available destination.

Spider uses two decks. Build descending sequences in the Tableau. Cards of different suits may be stacked, but a group must be an unbroken same-suit sequence to move together. A complete King-through-Ace same-suit run is removed from the Tableau; complete eight runs to win.

Tap the Stock to deal another row when the rules permit. One-suit play is the easiest starting point. Pro offers two- and four-suit play; four suits are substantially harder.

Clear the pyramid by pairing open cards that total 13. A card is open when no card below covers it. Aces count as 1, Jacks as 11 and Queens as 12; a King is 13 and can be removed on its own.

Use available Tableau and Waste cards, and tap the Stock to turn more cards. The objective is to clear the Tableau pyramid; you do not need to move every leftover Stock card to win.

The first Foundation card sets the starting rank for all four suits. Build each Foundation upward in suit, wrapping from King to Ace when necessary.

Build the Tableau down in alternating colors, use the Waste and Reserve, and turn the Stock for more cards. Empty Tableau spaces are filled automatically from the Reserve while cards remain there. The starting rank need not be an Ace.

Clear the three peaks by moving an uncovered Tableau card to the Waste when it is one rank higher or lower than the top Waste card. Suit does not matter.

Tap a fitting card to play it. When none fits, tap the Stock for a new Waste card. Look for a sequence of removals that exposes more cards before spending the next Stock card.

No single guarantee applies to every game and mode. Klondike's curated Easy, Medium and Hard deals are checked for a winning line under their selected rules. New Yukon deals also have a validated winning line. Random Klondike deals do not have that guarantee.

Other games and random modes can deal positions that are not winnable; FreeCell also recognizes certain known impossible deals. Even a winnable starting deal can reach a dead end after different choices. Use available Undo and Hint options, and do not treat a missing hint as proof that the original deal was impossible.

Use Settings → Difficulty for curated Easy, Medium or Hard deals, or Random. Curated levels select checked deals; Random shuffles locally, may be unwinnable and does not support AI Hint.

The available levels depend on the ruleset. Turn-1 / One pass is Hard only. The other supported presets are Turn-1 / No limit, Turn-3 / No limit and Turn-3 / Three pass. Pro is required for the additional rulesets. Changing the selection can require a new game; read the confirmation before accepting.

FreeCell offers Easy, Medium, Hard and Random. Pro adds the additional levels and access to one million numbered games. The displayed level and game number identify the selection you are playing; include both when asking for help.

Do not assume every number or random deal is solvable, or that another app uses the same numbering system. If you choose a specific game or replay a previous one, the first-play credit rules still apply.

In 27.2.5 / build 185, the chooser's New game button advances to the next deal after a win and preserves your current and best Streak. The win screen's Play next game is another way to continue.

Replay same game intentionally keeps the deal. When the current game is unfinished, New game can restart the selected deal; it is not the same action as playing the next deal after a win. Use the Quit choices to change an unfinished game, and read their loss/Streak warning.

• Win on first play: adds one to the current Streak.
• Quit on first play: normally counts as a loss and resets the current Streak. The confirmation explains exceptions, including a recognized impossible deal.
• Replay a previously played game: winning or quitting does not add to or reset the Streak.

Pause and Resume are not quitting. Continuing to the next deal after a win preserves the Streak already earned. Tap the Streak display or open Settings → Streak help for its explanation and history.

Not reliably for every deal within a reasonable time. Four-suit Spider has far more possibilities than one-suit play. The app does not guarantee that every four-suit deal is winnable, and its Hint or solver cannot always settle that question for a newly dealt game.

A search that does not find a solution is not proof that no solution exists. Hints and Auto-finish do not provide an initial solvable/unsolvable label for every deal. Try one suit first, then two suits, before moving to four; there is no single win percentage that applies to every ruleset and player.

A green border marks a card with a suggested or potentially useful move. Tap it to make its preferred move when that game's tap controls permit.

Green borders are a playing aid, not a promise that every highlighted move leads to a win. Turn them off in Settings → Green borders if you prefer to find moves yourself.

You can drag cards or legal groups. Games with a Tap to move setting can also choose a destination for a tapped card. The exact controls vary by game; use Settings → Game help for its instructions.

Yukon can move a face-up card with every card below it. Klondike, FreeCell and Spider have their own sequence and space requirements. FreeCell's Auto moves to Foundation setting is separate from tapping and green borders.

Tap the ? control. Hints are included in Pyramid, Canfield and TriPeaks. Hint access in Klondike, Yukon, FreeCell and Spider requires Pro. Klondike, Yukon and FreeCell offer AI Hint; FreeCell also has an AI hint switch in Settings.

AI Hint may need time to analyze a position or suggest returning to an earlier position. Random Klondike deals do not support AI Hint. Neither a suggestion nor an unsuccessful search is a universal proof of winnability.

Undo is included in FreeCell. It requires Pro in the other six games. A locked control can show information about the upgrade.

Even with access, Undo needs an available recorded move and may be disabled while a move, deal or Auto-finish is settling. It is not a way to recover a completed game after its history has been cleared or to reverse deleting the app.

Where offered, enable Settings → Auto-finish. The game can finish the remaining cards when its own rules and completion checks establish that it is safe to do so.

Auto-finish is not a button that solves any position, and its absence does not by itself prove the deal is lost. Let an active completion animation finish before starting another action.

Changing a ruleset, deal mode or certain game options can require a new game. Read the confirmation carefully, especially if it warns about a loss or FreeCell Streak reset. Cancel if you want to keep playing the current deal.

Settings marked with an asterisk require Pro. A deal's solution and difficulty are tied to its rules; do not compare results from different settings as though they were the same game.

Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription. One purchase unlocks Pro across all seven games. Both the free app and Pro have no ads.

Depending on the game, Pro adds Undo or Hint access, rule choices, more FreeCell games and levels, Spider suit choices, appearance options and cheats. Open Settings → Pro upgrade for the current feature comparison and Apple's price before buying.

1. Use the same Apple Account for App Store purchases that made the original purchase.
2. Connect to the internet and open Settings → Pro upgrade.
3. Tap Restore Purchase and allow the request to finish.

You do not need to buy Pro again just to troubleshoot restoration. If it is not found, check the purchase account and send Feedback with the exact result. Restoring Pro unlocks features; it does not transfer a saved game from another device.

Not necessarily. Check the Stock or Waste where applicable, empty Free Cells and Tableau spaces, and all legal destinations. Use available Hint or Undo options to reconsider earlier choices.

A lack of green borders, a stuck message or an unfinished search is not proof that the starting deal was unwinnable. You can Pause to keep the position for later. If you want to give up, use Quit and read its confirmation rather than assuming it has no statistics effect.

Check that Pro is installed where required, that AI hint is enabled in FreeCell, and that Klondike is not using Random deals. A control can also be temporarily disabled while cards are moving or analysis is running.

Allow the current operation to settle. If the problem repeats or analysis never finishes, keep the saved game and send Feedback with the game, level/deal number, rules and what the button displayed. Do not delete the app as a first troubleshooting step.

Each game, including Yukon, has a Settings → Game sounds switch. Check it in the game you are playing.

If enabled sounds are missing, check device volume, Silent mode and the audio output, including Bluetooth or headphones. If only one game's sounds are affected, include its name and the action that should have made a sound in your feedback.

Look in that game's Settings for Card style or Cards, and Table color. Available choices vary by game, and some require Pro. Large, clear card faces and green-border help can make play easier to follow.

The table also adapts to its available screen area. If a particular card style or display size makes a card unreadable or cuts off a control, send a screenshot with the device, orientation and game rather than resetting your saved game.

Regular iPhone gameplay uses a landscape layout. iPad supports portrait and landscape, and the Duo layout adapts when the display is folded or opened. Support and system screens may use a different layout from the game table.

Allow rotation or folding transitions to settle before dragging cards or tapping another control. If an edge is still clipped or the chooser and table disagree, send a screenshot or short recording and say whether the Duo was open, folded or changing position.

Saved games, Undo history and statistics are stored on the device. Restoring a Pro purchase does not copy that playing history to another device. Keep the original device and its data when moving to a new one.

Do not delete or reinstall the app as a first troubleshooting step: deleting it can remove local games and statistics. Use Pause to keep an unfinished game, and contact support before trying a destructive reset.

Open the game's Settings → Statistics. Where offered, Scoring chart explains points and Streak help explains FreeCell's first-play rules. The games do not all use the same scoring system.

If a score or Streak seems wrong, include the game, rules, level/deal number, whether it was a replay, and the action you expected to earn or lose credit. A screenshot before and after the action is helpful. Do not clear statistics before asking for help.

Ad-free play and technical diagnostics serve different purposes. Solitaire uses diagnostics to investigate crashes, performance and service problems. Feedback can include a Support ID and app/device details to help relate your message to the problem.

Read the Privacy Policy for details. You do not need to include passwords or payment-card information in a support email.

Open Settings → Feedback in the affected game. Keep its pre-filled Support ID and diagnostic details, and add what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you expected instead. If the device cannot send mail, write to support@fortuisoft.com.

• Game, level/deal number and relevant rules or settings.
• App version/build, device and iOS/iPadOS version.
• Approximate date, time and time zone, and steps that reproduce the problem.
• A screenshot or short recording; for Duo, include the folded/open state and orientation.

A description plus the diagnostic details is much more useful than an otherwise empty feedback email. Keep the saved game if the problem concerns a particular deal.
