Getting started

Where do I learn the rules?

Open Settings → Getting started for rules and scoring, or Playing in this app for the controls. The guides describe your active House rules.

What do I do on my turn?

Draw from stock or make a legal discard pickup, play any melds or layoffs you choose, and normally finish by discarding one card. A set is three or four of one rank. A run is at least three consecutive cards in one suit.

Why can’t I take just one card from the middle of the discard pile?

A discard pickup takes the chosen card and every newer card above it. The pickup must also meet the active discard-use rules. Check Getting started for the requirements in your game.

Why did my score go down?

Your hand score is the value of cards you played, including layoffs, minus the value left in your hand. Unplayed cards count against you even if they form a meld you could have played. Check the current rules guide for card values and the ending rules.

Cards & controls

How do I meld or lay off cards?

Select cards in your hand and tap Meld. You can also drag cards to New meld or an eligible table meld. Layoffs can extend either player’s melds; the added cards score for you. If more than one play is possible, choose the intended meld.

How do I discard?

Double-tap a card in your hand, drag it to the discard pile, or select one card and tap Discard. Gray cards are unavailable for the current action. Expand your hand or discards when you need larger, individually selectable cards.

What do green borders mean?

In your hand, green borders highlight cards that can extend a table meld. In the discards, they highlight possible legal pickups. The helpers do not include plays that need an added joker, so an unhighlighted play may still be legal. Turn Green borders off in Settings if you prefer; this setting does not require Pro.

What can I undo for free?

Undo reverses draft edits and actions within your current turn for free. Pro adds Undo Turn, which returns to the start of your previous turn, including the opponent’s response. A revealing undo marks the game as assisted.

How do I save and resume?

Accepted actions save automatically. Tap Home, then Resume game to continue. An unaccepted meld draft is canceled if the app is interrupted. Avoid deleting the app to troubleshoot a saved game.

Pro & support

What does Pro add? Are there ads?

Free and Pro are both ad-free. Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription. It adds Undo Turn, Skilled and Expert opponents, house rules, colors, statistics, manual hand sorting, and cheats. Open Settings → Pro upgrade - learn more for details and the current price.

How do I restore Pro?

Use the same Apple Account that purchased Pro, connect to the internet, and open the Pro upgrade screen. Tap Restore. If it is not found, check the purchase account and contact support with the result; do not buy Pro again just to troubleshoot.
